Reconnect Garage Door Chain

Some units will actually reconnect themselves but this is not typically the case.

Sue from our d d garage door port charlotte design center shows us how to disconnect and reconnect our garage door opener. At that point push the button for the operator and when the trolley meets with the carriage the 2 will be connected. Grasp the chain 1 foot from where it connects to the end of the threaded chain anchor. Pull the chain toward the garage door and hold it in position.

The chain will move the trolley until it connects with the arm attached to the garage door. You need to check the release handle and make sure that it is on the track. Press down on the chain with your finger. Some garage door openers trolleys and arms do not automatically connect.

You should have 1 2 inch of play in the chain. The first thing to do is hit the door button. If simply hitting the button does not work you will have to take more action. The next step is to go to the inside of the garage door.

Now the million dollar question how do i reconnect my garage door with the garage door opener if i have previously disconnected to reconnect simply pull the red cord on an angle.
