I just found out today that if i get a motion detection alert i can see the video but if i try to initiate a standard live view it fails.
Ring doorbell live view streaming error.
I don t know why it s not working please help me if you can.
If only i could get some player controls on the ffmpeg window tho.
Just purchased the ring doorbell 2 on the firt day of issue and aside from 1 2 days of it working it continually fails to activate on live view.
There are several ways to access live view.
This is very frustrating.
I have also tried streaming using my cell service instead of wifi to see still doesn t work.
When i click on live view i get streaming error i have very good wireless speed a chime pro my rssi speed is 64.
Same issue for me.
But as others have mentioned i would prefer live view worked so i can see in real time.
Very disappointed in this product.

I wondered if the brick wall was reducing the wifi signal to the ring doorbell.
However what many people miss is that live view mode doesn t work if your ring doorbell is running on battery power.

If i ring the doorbell my wife can answer and see me moving at the door.
Current the ring cams can playback the last video recorded natively in ha through ffmpeg so it s better than nothing.
I pick dup a ring for the floodlight and security cam feature more than a doorbell tho.
When i go back to history all attempts to activate live view have been recorded.
I have multiple ring products and this one i have to say is useless.
I also have no live view on one iphone ios 13 3 the other one works fine.
Seemed to work okay then started having problems bringing up the camera s live view.
Health status says signal strength is good rssi 29 but when i try live view it hangs then says streaming error.
Added another ring doorbell.
Camera is only about 15 feet from my ac pro but is mounted on a brick wall.
Rssi is 46 and it is literally situated less than 20 feet from my wifi router.
Funny that although activating device pops up and the blue ring spins it is recording.
So why can t i get live view.
